Abstrakt

Quantitative evaluation of scientists and research institutions is necessary but should be based on various measures and simple bibliometric parameters should be applied with great care. Otherwise, unreliable estimations and serious mistakes may be made. The present domination of English language in science is acknowledged, but Polish language should survive in all fields of research.
