Abstract

The article presents the reasons for undertaking psychological research devoted to the functioning of people in the circumstances of globalisation. Several theoretical propositions aiming at showing problems experienced by individuals living in such social conditions have been discussed. Furthermore, the author’s conception, „globalisation context/horizon”, which analyses the issue has been presented. It has been proven that globalisation evokes in humans self-exploitative attitude to life. The function of this attitude is illustrated using the example of scientists working in globalised scientific institutions.
