Impact of research projects granted from Horizon 2020

Abstract

Understanding of a research projects’ impact is crucial due to increasing importance of this element in a research application’s evaluation. This is especially valid regarding projects granted from Horizon 2020. This paper aims at drawing attention of a Polish applicant to the notion of impact and explaining why its description is an important part of each research project application. Moreover, the paper comprises practical guidelines on analysis and demonstrating impact. The author interprets also the notions related to impact like: lead user, end user, value chain and technology readiness level.
