Scientists of various disciplines in Poland get involved in discussions around the accessibility of Artificial Reproductive Technology (ART). Some of them suggest that children born thanks to the in vitro procedure are significantly more susceptible to all sorts of disease. I (Dolińska, 2009) reviewed a growing body of research demonstrating that in reality worse health condition of in vitro conceived children in most cases is of correlative, not causative nature. In his commentary, Cebrat (2011) claimed that I was wrong and even dishonest. In this paper, in an integrative review, I concluded that a narrow number of well-identified disorders in children may be attributed to advanced age of the parents who choose IVF and their own state (infertility in particular).Downloads
