Zagrożenia związane z wodą

Abstrakt

Water-related hazards in Poland are reviewed. In addition to natural hazards related to water, there are institutional hazards, caused by mismanagement of water resources in the past, as well as deficient structure of water management in the country. Hazards caused by water users are also reviewed. The classical principle of water management, introduced in Poland in 1930s, that still persists in human minds, does not fit to the present EU legislation, including directives that have to be implemented in all member countries of the European Union.
